Do I have to purchase tickets in advance?
Advance tickets are highly recommended. Space on all tours is limited and reservations will not be held without a ticket.
Where do I park?
There are several street parking spots and lots around the square that offer free parking for evenings and weekends. There is a parking deck located behind the Court House. There is also a parking lot on the corner of Hampton Street and Tarpley.
Where and when do I check in?
We will meet at the McDonough Welcome Center, 5 Griffin Street, McDOnough. Please come 10-15 minutes before scheduled tour time.
Should we tip our guides? What is appropriate?
If you feel as though your guide has done a great job, tips are certainly appreciated. The amount is at your discretion and varies by tour and size of group. Tipping reflects customer appreciation for excellent services and is always appreciated.
How long are the tours?
Tours are approximately 90 minutes
Pub Crawl is approximately 2 hours
What about weather?
Tours go out rain or shine. If there is severe weather we will cancel a tour and all tickets will be issued a rain check for another tour. If you prefer not to go out on a tour because of unsavory weather, we will be happy to issue you a rain check.
Are tours handicap accessible?
If you’ve been to our historic area and navigated the sidewalks and curbs, we’d love to have you join us. We can’t say whether the route we will take is 100% accessible for your particular situation, but please contact us directly so we can better understand your needs.
Can I bring alcohol?
No, but you may purchase drinks in a “McDonough carry cup“.
Alcohol is not allowed in the middle of the square.
